About Prairie View Elementary School

Prairie View Elementary School serves families in the northwestern portion of Northwest ISD in Rhome, where it is known for raising student leaders.

The school is named for its geographic location, as the area was open pasture with no homes or businesses nearby prior to the school and community’s construction. The prairie view surrounding this area was and remains a unique and spectacular sight.

At Prairie View, students are raised in the Leader in Me program, similar to the neighboring Seven Hills Elementary School. Through this program, students learn leadership and life skills that promotes academic progress while cultivating character.

Prairie View’s mission is to foster positive relationships with all students, their families and the community. The school’s staff strives to promote and improve literacy and develop leaders who are driven to better the world.
